Samsung Gallery - Dates Incorrect

A bunch of random photos have appears in the Pictures section of the Gallery app. They seem to have had their date changed somehow so the phone thinks they were taken much more recently than they were. 

Any ideas? 

No update, no smartswitch, no messing around in system folders etc.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.  

Is it possible that you have pictures stored elsewhere in another online vault that is syncing with your phone 🤔

@tomtom24: If you head to the Gallery app > Select the Pictures tab > Tap on one of the relevant photos > Swipe upwards, then this will reveal where the image is stored, and may help to shed some light on their origins.
