Tap on the phone settings cog. Scroll down and tap on Apps. Scroll down the list to the one you want to disable and tap on it. From there you can disable or uninstall that app. If you don't see disable or uninstall then it is a system app that can't be touched. A tip that I always do is to scroll down to the app I don't want. Then tap on Storage for that app and clear the cache and data before hitting the uninstall or disable button. Don't know if that has any effect but I never have any problems after.
