Hi new here so first post.

S22 Ultra arrived today. During set up/first usage I noticed an issue with the S Pen. It works fine but there is a ‘blank’ spot on the right hand centre side of the screen where them pen doesn’t register. I’ve done a google search on this and it was mentioned that if you have a magnetic closure in your case then this could be the problem. I bought a cheap Olixar case to tide me over for a week or so, removed the phone from the case and S Pen working fine.

My question is. I’ve been thinking about getting the Mous Limitless 3.0 but now I’m wondering if the magnets in the case are going to be an issue.

I've always found magnets and issue and my research found some, if they are strong enough can eventually damage the screen. Avoid them at all costs and get a pouch!

The smart cases from Samsung are on sale, they are around £20 if you want to check them out 🙂

Magnetic cases will stop the spen working in certain locations of the screen

Absolutely same issue with Otterbox Strada. When front flip cover flipped back all the way the s-pen won’t register on the screen on the right/center portion where the magnet is…

Absolutely same problem with this device right here. When the front flip cowl flipped back all the manner the s-pen received it check in at the screen at the proper/center component where the magnet is.

I have the exact same issue, I upgraded from Galaxy Note9 to the S22 Ultra. I was worried it was a screen issue, but found out when i removed my case, the S Pen worked fine.

Weird since my Galaxy Note9 had no issue with the S Pen and it also had a cover with magnetic flip. Also the quality of the S Pen was much better on the Note9 than S22 Ultra, kinda surprised about that.

I also upgraded from note 9 to s22 ultra and agree with you thst note 9 s pen quality was better, also s 22 ultra's s pen when you writing it is responsive, but when you want to use eraser and press the button on the s pen and touching the screen, nothing happends, you actualy have to press the pen harder to the screen when using eraser with the button on the pen, on the note 9 nothing similar happening, same press level with button pressed or without. Let me know is it same on yours, please

Yes the S Pen needs to be pressed harder for the erase to work. I don't know why that is. Overall i'm a little disappointed with the S Pen on the S22 Ultra.

The notifications are also way too small in text to read properly at first glance, but i believe that is a One UI 4 problem. I saw another thread of people having the same issue.
