S22 Ultra Screen Randomly Turns Off / Goes Black

When using the Chrome app or certain apps the phone screen randomly goes black while scrolling or just turns off and goes to the lock screen.

When using the Crypto.com app the screen would go black and when I would access it again the phone would restart.

Anyone else having this issue?

Samsung officially released a statement that we should lower the resolution down to FHD+, since the WQHD+ is what messes it up real bad, and presumably the vivid option too. I tested it and it works. Maybe next time put a price tag of 800 quid, so we'd know why we got FHD+ resolution.
Now let's all pray they will put out a patch in the next 12 months, that actually fixes that. If not, then I personally will think twice before I buy any Samsung product from now on. First it was the tvs, now this...

I received my S22 Ultra yesterday. Today I'm experiencing the same issue as you. Fingers crossed an update will resolve it but its disappointing to have an issue like this from the very beginning of ownership!

I'm experiencing random black screens on my new galaxy s22+. This happens randomly, at least 5 times per day on random apps.
The screen goes black and if you press Power button then the screen will wake up and lock. After unlocking of course the screen is no longer black. Also seems like ita not locking up when the random black screen happens, because when it happened and I was in chrome, I scrolled down while the black screen was on and upon locking and unlocking, the page was scrolled down too.

I'm also getting the black screen. This is my first ever Samsung phone, so I hope this is the only major issue and it's fixed quickly.

face recognition is very slow and I'm having the same issues. s22 ultra 128-12gb

Same issue.. happens on browser especially when a video is on the page somewhere or just generally scrolling

Yes, same here. Screen goes black when scrolling big pages with occasional video. When blindly switching to another app, screen turns back on again.
