S22 Ultra (Recording & Playback) Video Issues Jerky / Stutter / Unshareable

Ok, had the new phone exactly a month. Video function is awful. Read other comments here and in reviews elsewhere, seems Galaxy S22 is very buggy - especially for display and camera functions. "I am VERY disappointed" (Gary Oldman style). How can it be so bad on such a good "Flagship" handset? What are Samsung playing at?

Tried different settings, then post-production uploading to laptop and applying filters in Shotcut, and even bought a DJI Gimbal stick... No improvements. The videos are still unusable (*****). Major major inconvenience as I use videos to document each art exhibition we host - changing every fortnight or so - and upload to various SM platforms.

Samsung please sort this out ASAP - for me and for many many other users it seems - seriously hope it's possible via a software update...

2.5 months further on (4.5 months since going live with this handset) and nothing has improved with the S22 Ultra video performance, had hoped software updates may have sorted it. Have now formally complained to my network (& handset) provider with an urgent request for replacement. I suggest you all do the same!

22 of August 2022. Same *****. I will try to return it. The only reason I've bought it was 4k60FPS. Compared to my wife's IPhone 13, this S22 is just a total *****.

Actually this issue isnt only related to the exynos variant.. I am facing the same issue with vanilla s22 running on snapdragon processor.. Bought this one solely for shooting videos and for the past month the video stutters for a good five seconds before recording normally which is really frustrating.. Was hoping this to be resolved with some update.. Nothing from Samsung as yet though! 🤕

I have had the stutter issue in video since i got my 22 Ultra.

By pure chance i found a setting in the Camera app called "Automatic BPS" (it was enabled) - It is supposed to ajust the framerate based on the conditions but it seems to do a pretty bad job at it.

I haven't had the issue since i disabled it.

Hope it helps.

Same issue. I upgaded from the S20 to the S22 Ultra for a better camera performance, and I got worse camera performance. Reduced wide angle from .5 to .6, and 4K video that stutteres horribly. This is the last Samasung phone I will buy.
