Initially, this post was about the GPS signal lost or no GPS signal issue.

Samsung recognized the issue and fixed with SW fix in April OTA release.

Is there still GPS signal lost which can't be recovered without phone reboot?

Recent comments and discussions look somewhat different issues even they are related GPS.

This post may be regarded as the issue resolved. No more GPS signal lost.

If there is another GPS problem, I think it would be better to have a new post.

If the accuracy issue or a big TTFF issue, Samsung can investigste for that specific cases. Why don't you provide the exact location may causes the inaccurate routing result on other post?

Well Samsung is closing other topics and keeping this one. On my S22 exynos i still have GPS lost issue. No change from 1.4. update. Maybe its worked out on S22U, S22+ also have less complains. On S22 the issue with GPS lost (or GPS freeze)  still occur so it should remain open until Samsung solves it.

Also we should divide GPS issue into two separate problems. GPS fix was almost instant and still is on my S22. We are facing GPS signal lost while running nav (in Android Auto and even without) after like 5-10 minutes. And phone thinks its working properly but you are moving and location is not. You can turn on/off location and its working again. So something (fix) was solved and something (freeze) was not fixed.

@skejpa - I could no be more accurate. You have described precisely the same behavior that I also experience with S22 Ultra Exynos-based.

I give up. its your problem not mine.

Did anyone tried to do what  i did?

I was among the first who took action to

1. delete the phone's caches

2. repair apps, but not factory reset

both from the recovery menu.

After that, you can simply run a gps fix utility, there are a lot in google play to choose from, to delete your old corrupted GPS data, reset the chip, and download fresh new data.

This loud and noisy vermin Syed Ahad,  was not doing anything for a month, only whining and complaining, well he finally realized things need user intervention and finally did something and fixed his issue. Good for him. I like the fact he finally did something about it.

When the others will? Well i do not care when other will. In short if you can be bothered to resolve the issue, then do exactly as i wrote, if you cannot be bothered, its your phone, your issue, it does not affect me so i don't give a f**k if you have problems or not, i do not give a s**t if you have issues or not.

as i said, i give up, you do what you want, you what you like. I am out of here.

Good Morning. I recently purchased the S22 Ultra. I use my phone for personal and work (Paramedic). I do not seem to be having issues with my maps or Life360 apps, however my company uses Paycom for the HR management tool. We use a kiosk (it is a browser link not an app) which we all put on our phones which relies on GPS so we can only clock in when we are at or near our work locations. This kiosk has worked on previous phones with no issues. I even put the same link on the S22 that I was using on my note 20 ultra which I had no issues with.  I have tried everything that I can think of to try and get this thing to work.

Any Suggestions

Thank you in advance,

Dave

May update fixed it for me as mentioned in my earlier post..nothing I did earlier solved before this particular update. Although there is an ignorant prick in this form who thinks otherwise.

Its a hardware fault - but it may be fixed by some people with software and by others not. And you do not know how samsung has fixed it. Maybe the hardware-fault comes back in the feature or the fix has other impact and reducing of function. It seams samsung will be the new nokia.

mmm no. Nokia was lnown for lack of innovation and not understanding what users want. Apple is walking the same path as Nokia. Apple fail to understand people want customization, apps, innocations.... with apple you are force limited to apple store only, and customizations are not much and difficult, becaue apple is happy if they control how you use an overpriced device with far insufficient features, apps, innovation and customization to justify the mind blowing price.

Maybe - but such a buggy phone like the Samsung S22 Ultra would apple never sell. Quality is at apple much better than by Samsung.

That's true. However most bugs are traced down to lack of proper optimization to the X2 core. And this is mynfirst post i will not rant against the Exynos processor. truth is i see less issues than Snapgradons. usually exynos are also fixed faster than compared to snapdragon, unless people are really loud about it. truth is i expect the devices to become tontheir full potential somewhere between august or september update, as i read in both gsm arena and xda developers.
