Samsung innovate a lot, to some extend, this might be a good reason for failures they need more time for thorough testing and development. on the other side Samsung thinks of getting as much features as possible to older devices, genrally raising the level. basically they want to beef up everything as much as they can, to all devices from note 10 and s 10 and all z folds and all z flips. One UI, features, apps.... they are so determined that they will go as far as individual features with montly updates, if general boost of One UI is not applicable.
Samsung is nothing like Nokia. Nokia was stale company, nokia was not moving, nokia was not doing anything, samsung is moving and doing something.

@Krisalex79 I agree

My defective S22 Ultra is worst than any Nokia I had. Because any Nokia I had could make a call. My 1081€ S22 Ultra can sometimes make a Call most not. So Samsung produced some (thousands?) defective S22 Ultra und do NOTHING to exchange this grab.
One User from spain reported, that samsung has NOT repaired or exchanged a defective S22U - because they make only standard test. This is a joke of Quality control. The S22U Software is ja buggy joke at 3/2022 und now Samsung will try to fix it with Updates some month later - a quality joke.
No - Samsung seams not to master In Software the 1000superduper functions and hardware-features and the support is also a joke.
Samsung ist Nokia 2.0

Hi @michaelxy
I can see you are really nervous about Samsung. I do not blame you. They have manufactured and sold more than one million (https://wccftech.com/galaxy-s22-sales-reach-one-million-in-korea-in-a-week/#:~:text=On%20Average%2C%...) units. That is more than one billion USD of income. There are about 15% of faulty devices (at least in my country - I got it from inside information). The faults are varied: GPS, camera, calls, battery...
I think Samsung has to take responsibility and announce a RECALL for faulty devices. And the decision which device is faulty on which is not should be determined also with responsibility and not just by running standard tests.

If the number is such high (15%) they have to recall this devices. Today I will send my faulty S22U to a repair center .... I guess it will come back neither exchanged nor repaired.
May be the first produced S22U from 2/2022 are defective - or is there a other systematic, which S22U are defective?

Got mine s22 just last week.
GPS is still losing connection after all updates.
Good that I had another phone on our weekend trip...
Please fix this ASAP!

@Members_uHQpscd What can I say? It seems you are unlucky, like me.

You are not unlucky. We all are. I mean at least classic S22 users with exynos. And I also thought they will fix it with last update but they did not. Hopefully next update as its driving me crazy.
I have tried several things but it seems to be a problem of apps rights to use gps. GPS is working but the app sudenly loses acces to it. When it freez and you open different app, its working (for some time...). So its just about some stupid sw change.

Has anyone exchanged the phone? If yes - its now working? If yes: In whitch month was the S22U produced?
It seams some from 2/2022 are defective.

So do we expect this to be fixed via software update? I'm super annoyed by this gps issue. Google maps looses signal each 15 minutes, simply stop the route and restarting it solves it but the signal is lost after a short while again. Also strava sometimes shows really weird results due to the lost signals. Never had such bad gps signal before and wondering if I should report it and send it in for repair or exchange?
