S22 Ultra motherboard failure and random reboots

Hi

I got an S22 Ultra, and after updating it, it started rebooting and shutting down suddenly. When I looked in the forum and searched online, I found that the cause might be motherboard damage — that the update pushed the phone to its limits, which could have caused some damage to the motherboard. My question is: since all S22 Ultras use the same motherboard, why does this happen to some and not others? My friend has the same phone with the same specifications as mine, but his is operating normally while mine is rebooting. The only difference is that I have the 512GB version, and he has the 256GB version.

If anyone can help or guide me on how to verify if it’s motherboard damage without openning the phone, in Samsung Members diagnostics everything seems to be working fine.

and is there any apps or sites that can help me read the logs of an android and locate the reason of the reboots.

Contact Samsung support if it is under warranty. Does it happen in safe mode?

Unfortunately the Manufacturer's warranty won't be valid if the phone has been launched to use in another region @islkac43

You could try a Highstreet Store that deals in repairs to see if they can assist for a fee.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I got the same issue (S22 Ultra stuck in boot loop), I was using the camera when the screen froze and then the phone re-started. I saw the message 'optimising apps' which only happens when the phone updates, so I know update was at play. Then it restarted again and went into a boot loop and kept on restarting.

I spent an hour with Samsung discussing options, but they are too stubborn to acknowledge how wide the issue is and how many people it has impacted. They said it needs to be inspected first.

Took it to the official repair shop, who were awful. Basically they said, it needs a new motherboard (quoted £400!). I asked if they have 'diagnosed' the issue, turns out, the technician logic was, since the phone can't be turned on, it must be the motherboard ...

I said even if I was ready to pay that ridiculous money (which I wouldn't), how would you know if it is motherboard, have you diagnosed it? They said no, they can't run diagnostics because the phone can't be turned on and that's why can't be diagnosed. Well, that IS the problem that it is not booting ...

I left with no resolution, Samsung apparently have released this new update OneUI 6.1.1 (I think) that has impacted many S22 line phones, let's see if they own it. Time to switch to another brand, if this is how Samsung are going to treat us.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE READING THIS, AND HAVE BEEN IMPACTED. PLEASE AT LEAST POST ABOUT IT, SO SAMSUNG ARE COMPELLED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

I have seen thousands of customers all experiencing the exact same issue, myself included, I have a 2 year old s22 ultra, always had Samsung but after this refusal to accept a serious issue going to iPhone.

I've got same problem since start of this year. To make it worst, I need to have phone by my side 24/7 cause I could get call from hospital. It's not a joke. This night it started going off and on and it was stuck like that for hours. Wasn't even using it or anything. If this is Samsung, I'll never buy one again, this cost me fortune! Huaweii was working 8 years before stupid americans ruined it
