Hi Everyone,

After a software update last January, my phone suddenly started to lose signal in areas where i normally would still have connection, it would go on "Emergency calls only" in certain areas where i could call or connect to mobile data previously(my house is one such area). I read online that it was caused by an update and many users were experiencing it with the S22 Ultra Units but i can't seem to find an official statement from Samsung about a fix for this.

I've checked with my carrier and they said it was a known issue with samsung(i plugged my sim into an oppo phone at home and i was able to take calls and access mobile data but on the s22 i do not have any signal at all) and talking with my samsung dealership tech, he said the same thing and that i should just wait for an update to fix it but now it's 2 further updates in and the phone is still not usable in terms of being a phone or a mobile device.

I've done all the troubleshooting steps like airplane mode and resetting mobile networks etc, nothing works or fixes this.

I read that the only way to fix it was to factory reset it and to roll back the system update to when the phone was still working perfectly but that doesn't seem to be a long term solution since i've noticed before that these phones start to perform slower if they don't get the newest system updates.

Does samsung have an official thread covering this? i tried searching and they haven't even mentioned this bug at all.

I'm just hearing issues after issues from people with the s22 ultra, most of them happening after an UI update. This is an extremely buggy phone, i was told there would be support for this thing for 5 years but we haven't gotten any support at all when these issues started appearing. Do they expect us to just buy a new phone after what we paid for this thing?

Got a notification on my phone saying to update to the 6.1 UI, has anyone tried if patching this update will fix their current issues on the s22 ultra?

I am.having same problem . Phone lost signal after the July 22 2024 . Called samsung . They don't bother . They just want you to go buy another one .

I am an RF engineer and I confirmed to them the problem as I do have another phone for which I choose not to do update and it's working fine. But they don't care .

I urge everyone on this group to stop buying samsung phones. Relay this information so that people know the truth.

On my end.  I had scheduled a session with local media  CTV to let people know .. will share the date  when it will be broadcasted .

Same issue here. Won't be buying another Samsung unless it's fixed soon, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyone got recommendations for a good phone that's not Apple or Samsung?

Xiaomi 14 Ultra is my next to go, after Apple and Samsung, their software is very reliable and their flagships are excellent in general! I'm fine with Apple so if OneUI 7.0 won't fix my s22 I will throw out this phone and switch to Apple!

I have had this exact problem since October/November after an update (the phone was good till the update). I have factory reset it. All was good until now, because I updated again for the January security patch, and the problem with no service/only SOS calls began. Don't update
