Hi everyone,
I am one of the many S22 Ultra users facing the infamous bootloop issue that started after Samsung's software update. Like many of you, I was forced to approach the service center, where my ordeal escalated:

I hope when you recorded this phone call that you notified the party on the other end that you were recording or you have criminal charges coming your way if you decide to go this route

Had similar issue on my S22 Ultra after upgrade. Had chat with SS but only reply - sorry to hear and this can be heartbreaking as data is lost. If this is known issue why not stop pushing upgrade from samsung side

This is happening to me too. I use my phone for work and it will just shut off and reboot while I'm working, and sometimes it doesn't even come back on and I have to hold all the buttons down to get it to even power on and that can take several minutes. I did a factory restore and every other little thing suggested by others to try get it to work properly but nothing fixes the issue. So let me know if a class action lawsuit is filed because I'm definitely interested.

I just suffered a boot loop issue last week (10/27/25) with my S23 ultra. Here's the very weird thing though, it had happened while it was trying to install the One UI version 8 update. It had tried doing so a couple weeks prior too but I stopped it after noticing how it was making my phone freeze up and after seeing messages saying that it couldn't install the update. The first time though, I was just able to turn my phone off and back on. The second time it tried installing the One UI update, it slowed my phone down, phone said it couldn't install the update, and I turned my phone off. But it could never get back on after that. I reached out to Samsung support and they sent me to an ubreakifix repair store, which the guy there recommended a more in depth repair place called CPR Cell Phone Repair. The head technician (who has been working with phones for over a decade) tried to flash software on it via Odin (I do not know what any of that means really) to try to get the phone working again but that didn't work. So now, I'm looking at a quote from iPadRehab that's about the same price I paid for the phone itself 2 years ago to make sure I can get all the information off of it (contacts, photos, videos, text messages, etc) just to make sure I don't lose anything. I have a google drive backup but have no idea what all is on it. And my google photos backup has everything over a few years besides the last 6 months or so.
Samsung SHOULD pay for this service though because I KNOW it was the One UI Ver 8 update that caused this. My only lucky break is that I had an insurance plan with my cell service provider so I'm going to get a replacement S23 ultra but even then, what if it gets stuck in a boot loop a year from now??? What guarantee that this won't happen again do I have now considering I've already experienced this?

Same problem here.

I have a feeling it's not far away. We're in Northern Ca and I've ran into so many other people this has happened to lately its seems unreal this company has turned out such inferior devices without a strong legal conclusion.

I have an s23 ultra and after the one UI 7 update the software somehow sent commands to disable the antenna on my phone. I have hardly any reception outside of the house only with wireless inside. This has been confirmed with roughly 2,500 other cases similar to my issue on quora and another 1500 roughly on Reddit and this is just in the United States. I have two attorneys in my family and we have already started drawing up papers to sue Samsung. I also have a pretty hefty viewership on my YouTube channel I am about to make a video with the disparaging remarks and the third grade attitude I get when I contact Samsung officials and technicians that refuse to acknowledge and solve my problem and others. Samsung has to be the worst conglomerate to ever hoist a flag in the industry. I will see this through I have nothing but time and money. If we decide to go the class action route I'll put up a link with my family attorney's firm info

Hello,
On Friday there was an Android 16 push to my S22 phone, It installed fine, but after on 1 minute apps crashed so I restart the phone. But it did not restart, no power 99 percent chance the motherboard is gone. Call support and the told me to bring it in to service at local store. The said they can not quote me because it would not turn on. Contact support again and they said too bad. Contacted CEO and got a long email(disrespectful) I am a senior tech of 40 years. They had no compassion for my situation. They said , we are not aware of any problem at all..
