Hi. I've got S22 for a month now. 4 days ago with no reason, the speaker start making crackling noise. I've tried everything which ppl said on forums, but nothing worked. I've Reset all settings, took the sim tray out and in, went to safe mode.... Nothing! I'm completely upset because it's a flagman and 6 weeks old. EE doesn't even want to replace it because I'm 6 days over the month garanty. Any solutions, Samsung?!!! Internet is full with complains about the new S22. Seems Samsung have nothing to say help!

@Festaran: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue with your speaker. Are you hearing the crackling noise when using a particular app/feature, or is the problem persistent? If you head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Speaker, and follow the on screen instructions, can you hear the sample song clearly?

Crackling noise can indicate a damaged cone where the speaker driver might be damaged from too high a volume or too much bass etc. Samsung should repair it under warranty or EE I believe.

Mine has recently started to do the same. I haven't long had it. How do I go about sending it for repair or replacement? I am with EE

I FIXED the crackling speakers issue of my SAMSUNG S22 by cutting a small part (1mm is enough) of the grey rubber gasket in the SIMCARD support. This let the pressure balance inside the phone. The problem is definitely FIXED.

Of course I would avoid to drop the phone in a swimming pool now.

For others reading this post, I have had the same problem multiple times when coming out of the mountains to sea level (10,000 foot elevation change), or after flying. It seems that a pressure differential builds up inside the phone. I just pop out the SIM card tray and replace it and everything works fine. I think this allows the pressure to equilibrate.

I had the same issue after any flight in airport which is very annoying.  Solved by re inserting the sim tray again.
