S22 Notification Issue

Just set up my S22 and have an annoying issue. When I receive a new email, the system notification sounds instead of the email notification sound. I have altered the notification sound within the Mail app and when I go back in it is saved, but just doesnt play. (Mail - Settings - Notifications - Notification Categories - New Emails - Sound)

Not a major issue but I would like a bespoke sound for email rather than the system notification which is used for many things including text messages.

Any ideas please?

That's exactly how I set up my own tones for new emails and it works seamlessly @Andy_Viking

Maybe the tone file type your choosing isn't quite compatible.

Thanks for the reply. I have had a play around and found the issue I think.

I had notification reminders switched on, I missed the flashing LED on my old S7. I have turned this off and now my selected tone works for incoming emails.

If I turn notification reminders back on, the email notification switches back to the system sound.

Odd.
