Hi,

I've had my S22 Ultra Exynos 128gb for about a week now, a lot of the stuff seems to be jittering, for example, closing/opening an app, scrolling etc. Has anyone else experienced the same and found a fix for it? Yes, I have fully updated the phone, wiped system cache partition and done most of the stuff but the stuttering is still there.

Do you know if this will be fixed by further updates? If that is the case, I would not mind hanging on to the phone.

But if updates won't be able to fix such stuff, I'm looking at returning the phone. The question is, I have already traded-in my S10+, if I return the S22 Ultra, what would happen to the £370 (£170 device value + £200 discount).

If someone could please give some detailed info regards to the return, I'd really appreciate it. I really love the phone, just a shame that it stutters.

Hi @avx07

I'm a customer so cannot guarantee anything but in my experience Samsung push out updates pretty regularly that deal with bug fixes and improve stability not to mention security updates.

I have the 256Gb version of the Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra and I've found no issue thus far.

As a process of elimination perhaps try > Safe Mode.

This allows only stock apps and themes to work. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

Some who have initially used Samsung Smartswitch to transfer their date from their previous phone to the new phone have encountered hiccups. So factory resetting and then setting up the phone as a new device and downloading their apps one by one via the Playstore MyLibrary and Samsung Galaxy Store have found this can help.

I also use Samsung Cloud.

In regards to returing the phone within the 21 day cooling off period.

You'd need to also send back any promotional item such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.

Samsung would endeavour to return your traded in phone, but if they cannot they'll refund you the current value they deem it's currently worth.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Thanks for the reply!

I had gotten regular updates for my S10+ but never really paid any attention to any bugs. So I will hope they do fix these bugs.

I did not use smart switch as I read somewhere on the forums about it and downloaded the apps one by one. I don't think my bugs are as bad as other people's so that's a good sign.

I will try the safe mode ~ thank you.

I really do love the phone and would hate to send it away, so I might aswell keep it and wait for updates. If the bugs get worse, I'll ask for a replacement, as after having a think about it, £370 is a great price for my S10+ trade-in (it was £899 when I first bought it, so it's only lost £529 or about 59% of its value which is great).

Mine is the Exynos 128GB and I don't seem to be experiencing these slow downs or glitches

I purchased the S22 Ultra, it had cellular GSM issues. I returned the device, it felt no different to the Note 20 I own. I don't know how the trade in situation will work out for you. It's best you read the small print, no point asking Samsung employees they are useless and clueless.

You're very welcome @avx07

A replacement would only be available within the 21 days cooling off period if the phone was purchased via samsung.com. After this Samsung offer repairs only.

If the phone was supplied by another source then check their own relevant cooling off period terms.

Yes I agree that looks to be a good Trade In deal you received there 👍

Make use of your Samsung Members App to send feedback under the GetHelp section. Samsung need to be informed of issues so they can react.

The more people that send feedback the better.

I wish you all the best. :smiling-face:

I am having some stuttering, but it's definitely reduced a bit and no other bugs are present. Think I'll hold onto this phone and wait for an update. Its nowhere near as bad as what some other people are experiencing.

What i have noticed when you transfer files from old phone to new phone from cable to cable when setting up new phone I have found that mess it up a lot  so this what I do is transfer all my file to PC then transfer it to my new phone  works wonders never had any problems

Yeah I haven't transfered any files from my old phone at all haha. I'll just have to wait for an update. It has reduced quite a bit after I did a factory reset but still there.

Try a Hard reset  where you press power button and volume but  you have search it up on how that might help you
