I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.
My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.
Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

I have read that turning 4G and 5G off can help.
A way of doing this is to use Bixby Routines which allows you to add a trigger during any call and make the action to set the network mode to 2G/3G, and at the end of the call reverse the action.
I don't know if this will solve the problem but it does put the phone into 2G/3G mode and reverse it. At the moment my phone is unusable.
Samsung is really poor at support and good at charging £1300 for a phone that doesn't work. Whilst I don't like Apple they would not let this happen. Shame on you Samsung.

Hi everyone,
After monitoring my phone for the last 24 hours post latest update it does seem to have improved slightly at my house. Were before the update I was mainly stuck at one bar out of four and sometimes zero, it's now two-three for my main sim and one-two for the second Sim. No changes between Volte on or off.
Initially after the update I didn't notice too much difference but 2-3 is definitely bearable vs 0-1 bars. For reference 512GB, Exynos version since February. On 31-03-22 S908BXXU1AVCJ
I'm UK based and isolating atm so unable to verify other locations. My wife sitting next to me her iPhone has 2 out of 4 bars and my previous phone (Oneplus) was similar to that. If anything changes I'll let you know, thanks everyone for this active thread.

Looking at how many bars are on screen is not the way to test this fault, switch off VoLTE and keep making calls to see if they drop, browse the net, watch YouTube vids on 5g see if loose Internet connection.
Reception bars can easily be manipulated through software just like the battery level indicator is with certain devices.

Hi also from Sloveina. I got the small s22, there are call drops for 5 seconds.. with volte off. When hearing youtube in a car, signal is lost many times. Dont come back even when there are signal bars on the screen. Then i need to turn on and off the flight mode and it works again.. :[
Tried factory reset ,updated ..always the same..

I just got update on my S22+ model, i did factory reset, updated the device too April security Patch (1,3 GB) S906BXXU1AVCJ
When i was testing today, i called few numbers with network setting LTE/4G/3G/2G and on 5G/LTE/3G/3G (Volte OFF of course) , and i didnt get interuptions. BUT i dont think problem solved, beacose i did notest that today everytime i called, the phone switched too H+ or lower band and as soon as i end the call, band switch back to 4g at once as it was before the phonecall. Always switching from 4G LTE for phonecall back to H+ (snowing here today) , and unlike previous days when i had interuption, today i did not. I guess ill have too try this in the city, where i have better reception or something, so that my phone will connect too LTE bands for calls.
Unless someone knows here how to force 4g/5G for phonecalls (without that google play APP Samsung band selector)then ill be able to test this properly . So far network settings in S22+ offers only auto mode between thoes band options. So i cannot properly test this new update. I think this is not the fix" update, and that the FIX will come later during this month. Samsung please fix this with next update quick - do not wait till end of the month.

Couple days on the April update and things seem better here (UK, no VoLTE on carrier (GiffGaff/o2)). Haven't had a dropped call, but I have had an oddity where I couldn't get calls to produce any audio at all (no dialling time, other person picked up and heard nothing) and that would repeat itself until I rebooted, now it's okay again.
Will update if I get a repeat of that silent issue or any more dropped calls.

So the last update really make difference.
The first 2 hours after the update I have like 20 signal drops, but now I must say that the last 2 days stable signal, and everything working ... I hope it will stay this way 😉
