I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.

My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.

Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

Confirmed... de AVDA update doesn't solves the problem. IT seems that the only update that solves it is the 25 MB update of the modem, AVD5

I can also confirm that the S908BXXU1AVDA update does not solve the issue.

Just this morning I missed two calls and received an SMS letting me know. I was at home where I have good signal..

My problems were solved with updates i didnt have cuts during phone calls, only once i have droped GPS signal after one hour of usage. Only thing that i have noticed was my battery life was not great,Before update it was expected to last around 26Hrs after it was 3-4 hours  shorter than before updates.

Now im getting one more update 485MB heavy, i hope this will fix this to the end.

I can confirm that it is a Carrier problem. I hear from official Samsung repair center as well,  that we will get carrier Samsung OTA update in next days. they talked about this AVD update that  im  still  waiting for.

First 1.3gb April update 14 days did fixed my calling drops issue and silence during calls, but what  still isnt resolved is that sometimes  i still get sms about notifiying me that i  have missed call,  as  i  was unavailable, yet my phone was turned on with full  signal. I presume and  i count on this 400 MB update will fix this last issue. (im  still on AVC update, from 2nd april 1.3gb)

The update did not fix the problem: a call dropped today without any reason. Most of the time, the device can be used correctly (which is the least we can expect).

That's exactly my theory and experience.
I.e.: if i am in a poor signal area(indoors or outdoors) the phone will not be connected to the Internet(youtube won't load or browser) , then i travel in a good signal area,my phone will show 5g or 4g ,3-4 bars and signal strength i.e. : -90dBm 45asu, but still the phone won't connect to Internet.
If i restart the phone it will work(clearing the errors), switching from 5g/auto connect to 4g/auto or the other way around ,the Internet starts to work for a bit ,then back to square one.
I live in UK and no issues with dropping phone calls, only with Internet.
I had use for a week an oneplus 10pro phone and no issues using the same EE sim card, plus signal on both 5g and wifi range was wider.
However oneplus was showing full signal even if the signal strength was showing-108dBm(that should give you 1bar of 4/5g),so Samsung at least shows the real signal in the notification bar.
I restart my phone every morning, it seams the issue occurs not that often .
The latest 3 April updates didn't solved the problem
