Problems with GSM network on Galaxy S22 Ultra

I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.

My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.

Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

true but nothing has changed for me network wise,I'm aware it drops signal but the 5g/4g left me with no signal at all,yet the s21 ultra I had before and my daughter still has hers,we've swapped sims to check,both work perfectly,it's definitely a Samsung s22 ultra problem,not area issues👍

I'm from Spain 🇪🇸, preordered the S22 Ultra graphite colour before the release date and when I recived it I experienced all the problems that people have talked about here concerning calls dropping, robotic noise sometimes too. It is extremely frustrating as no fix seems to work [and I've tried everything].

I quickly returned my phone today as I was within the 14 day period and Samsung Spain does not offer replacements here [only refunds], you have to purchase the terminal another time if you want [and have the luck to receive a functioning one] also missing the promotion of the earbuds [as it ends the day after tomorrow].

It is ironic and intolerable that a 1000€ phone works [more or less] perfectly fine for all other things but making and receiving calls.

Same problem here .I'm from Greece my carrier is Cosmote. I have sent sms to my carrier at 1333 WIFICALL received back a message that WIFICALL is enabled .A logo volt LTE appeared on the top right corner.Evwrything works fine now.

I have exactly the same problem. Pre-ordered S22Ultra and received it one week prior its official release in Greece, and experiencing severe issues with the GSM network. My provider is Cosmote GR. Its seems that I'm constantly loosing calls, and it says that I'm either unavailable or unreachable even when being in highly populous areas with very good GSM coverage. I always keep my phone with the latest firmware, and even after the last update, this problem persists.

 

Paid 1400 euros, for a smartPHONE that doesn't work properly as a PHONE. Sometimes, I even have issues calling somebody, but this is rare.

I have also same problems (i am unreachable with calls, and on other side they can't hear me). I am from Slovenia and i got it with contract on A1, and here we have 14 days to return and i am already missed that. I tried moving SIM to SIM2 slot, and it's the same issue. Workaround for now is that i have enabled VoLTE, but this drains battery a lot for me.
I hope it is software problem and not hardware. Don't like opening the device.
All others works, only this GSM stuff does not work properly.

Send email to ram2. Hehe… they said to me, I am the only one user with those problems in Slovenia.

Same problem here.

The others can hear me talking, but I cant hear any thing for a few seconds

I have had exactly the same problem in UK.

I am with Three and had problems connecting to Internet in a non 5g area.

I had an 800meg software update yesterday and today in 3g/4g area its working well.

No idea if this update had anything to do with it but I will keep my eye on it closely.

It was beyond help connecting before. Constantly changing flight mode on and off and connecting to 2g3g connection from 5g.

the issue is still there for me if I select 5g/4g while out,if I want to use my mobile data it won't work on 3g/2g obviously but the signal never improves no matter what area I go so I choose 3g,2g when at home and 4g when out

I had that update last week. 811mb. Didn't help my issue at all. I am concerned this is not getting any traction with Samsung developers in order to get this fixed (if it is indeed software related).
