Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

A small number of users have reported issues with the S22 Series devices and cellular connection.

Several things to try:

1. Check the O2 website coverage checker to see what coverage is like where you fish

2. Perform a Reset MOBILE Network Settings on your device (you won't lose data and O2 will update your APN within a few seconds automatically)

3. If you haven't done so recent, perform a Wipe Partition Cache on your device

See if those combined improve things for you.

As @Piper133 mentioned follow steps and if nothing works perform wipe cache partition or try safe mode.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer USBC to USBC (you may also connect to another Samsung mobile via USBC). Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

If none of that works and it's just outbound calls, get a 2nd pay as you go SIM on a different network (Three and EE have far better coverage where I am) and just set it to active when you're in a black spot. Not sure if O2 still do it but years ago you could change your number forwarding to a different mobile number, if so you could put the other SIMs number in so you can still receive calls on that too
