Play Store Updates fail following latest OS Update

Following the latest Software update my play store apps are failing to update/install at all.

They go through the motions of downloading (seemingly successfully) and then they try to install but fail with the helpful message saying "unable to update xxx, please acknowledge" with no help or explanation offered.

I have tried clearing the play store/play services cache and data, cleared the individual apps cache and data. All with no joy... the last "fix" I found through Googling was remove and reinstall... well that has resulted in me now not having one of my apps at all as it won't reinstall either!!

Does anyone have anynother ideas??

I am sure it was the s22 I had the same problem but I fixed by clearing playstore cache and restart but the problem would come back after some installed.
I think I factory reset my phone

Sorry I don't have a fix past that, I did upgrade shortly after and not seen this problem since

Could be worth Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone before going down the factory reset route

Have tried that too. I REALLY don't want to have to do a factory reset for something so system fundamental as app installation. Surely there has to be something to "fix"... 😞

Tried that as one of the "fixes" Google suggests... no luck...

Are the apps installed from 3rd party store like happy mod or apk pure?

OK so a bit of an update... it appears that SOME of my apps ARE updating but not all... I've tried sending there APK file from my tablet to my phone to see if it was the installer failing and they are all saying that they are "split" install apks but that the split was not provided...

Looks like this might be an issue with how Android 14 handles split files now or the way these developers have pushed them out... Would seem VERY strange for it to start now with at least half a dozen apps at the same time, that strikes me as to being an OS change with how it handles split installers?? MAYBE?? Or am I clutching at straws??

Google Play Store although I have just tried installing the latest napkins from my tablet but they fail as per my next comment.

Happens to me as well post the latest samsung update (on S22+) with most apps fail to install and update.

I've tried all the troubleshooting steps - delete play store and play services data and cache and reboot, didn't resolve the issue.

The update broke our phone it seems!
