I recently bought the samsung s22 for the camera however for all of the rear camera pictures, there is a blur around the edges (most noticeable around the top) e.g. thr yellow sudoku wording is not distinct, neither is the penfolds menu. And in taking landscape shots the edges (trees) are also blurred.

The lenses have been cleaned and these re taken on the camera app (not any third party app like Facebook or insta) so I'm wondering if this is a known issue (as I've seen other posts similar to this relating to the software) or whether it's worth me going into a samsung store to get this fixed/reviewed somehow?

I don't think it's a stabilisation issue as selfies are fine

Don't drink too much wine, because blurring doesn't matter if you do. 🍷 🍸 🥂 🍺 🍻 😆
Maybe get a proper gimbal, because OIS is useless sometimes.

On a more serious note. Have you tried using the main 50MP lense in the camera settings?

Yes I have tried on 50mp and it's probably even more blurry at 50mp

Have you tried the Pro camera? You can manually set the focus. I know you shouldn't have to though. One of the best cameras is on the A53 5G. Crazy I know but really good.

sorry it works like that, please search 's22 blurry' or 'image quality' any you will find posts like this one: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s22-series/samsung-s22-photos-blurry-on-the-edges/td-p/57...I have this issue too. CA, distortion of lenses, it's all there + 'smart processing' that will combine series of images into one with 'some' errors. Blur here and there, colors/texture of background will get combined with foreground object etc :smiling-face: Good lighting conditions will solve most of this as the camera will go ISO50 without tons of images to 'stack' but some issues, lens based - blurry corners, visible CA - violet/yellow outlines will still be present. Some of those should be fixed on software side as for example - making Expert RAW photo and process in Lightroom will give you better image quality (better image curvature, better CA cancelation, better 'HDR' etc). But if you wan't to just point and shot, hmm.. I hope Samsung will improve the software and in the future phones - hardware. As a former S7 user I'm a bit disappointed in lenses quality and pixel binning results (but - overall, in mixed conditions, S22 has better photos than S7, I just expected more from S22, without step back in any aspect).

Below are:
- 3x (tele) - 1/966s  ISO50 top left photo crop
- 0.6x (wide) - 1/1324s ISO50 top left photo crop
- 1x (main) - 1/20408 ISO50 (ha-ha) top left 12M binned photo crop
Lenses were perfectly clean

HI, i experiencing the same issues and i'm not satisfied since my s10 did better photos.

btw, how can i figure out if the problem is software (i've disabled the optimization of the scene) or hardware (bad lens)

The same is happening to my S22. It wasn't like this before, now I can't even use my online bank account when it asks me for hand fingerprint verification. Is there anyway of fixing this?

Same here. I even got my stuff taken down from Vinted because of poor quality photos 😅 I've had Samsung since 2003 but seriously considering to change.
S22 Ultra was amazing when I bought it but the photos are pure *****
