I searched this forum and Reddit and can't find help. I'm incredibly frustrated after a year of owning this phone. When my screen is locked, the ONLY notification I will receive is a text from the Samsung App. I use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Outlook, etc. If I have a new notification from these apps, the phone will not notify me if the phone is locked. Every so often, I will pick up my phone, unlock it and then I get a BARRAGE of notifications from all these apps. Why is it doing this?
Running Android 13
Lock Screen Always On Display is = ON
Lock Screen Notifications is = ON with "Show Content"

Hi there, thanks for the reply and sorry for my late reply. I've been traveling for work.
All my app notifications are on.
No Power saving mode is being used.
No launchers.
Under advanced, All notifications are turned on, each APP is on.

That supposed "expert" is no use. He most likely copied/pasted from his troubleshooting script without actually verifying it first. I have the S22 Ultra too and it does the same thing with notifications.
I looked into it just now after reading your post/replies. In Settings // Notifications // Lock Screen Notifications... turn OFF "Show content when unlocked". This should force the phone to notify AS it happens, not AFTER its unlocked.
Also, Samsung, if you're reading this: FIX YOUR AUTOCORRECT. You've created a phone camera that can literally take pictures if craters on the moon but autocorrect has gone out the window?! Dumb.

Hello , I also have been getting this since I got my s22 ultra, before with my s10 I would get emails notifications even when the phone was locked. Can I ask did the method you have suggested work in the end for you, thanks MIke

I tried this, still not working :/. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I tried both of the suggestions by the other users and it did not fix my issue. There are a handful of apps that will not me while my screen is locked and a BUNCH from other apps that come through as soon as I unlock the screen. So frustrating.

I'm getting the same issue with my UK Galaxy S22, did you manage to solve the problem by any chance? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes it did. I think it's a really creepy default that Samsung keeps on its phones to ensure people keep their eyes glued to it longer than necessary.

Yeah, see my earlier comment. That worked for me. It *should* work for you... barring any odd differences due to UK vs US?
