Subject says it all.
I can open the app. But the moment I try to make a call or receive a call, the apps goes on a crash loop. I cannot view the contact if who is calling me, i cannot hang up, and I cannot use the phone as the app keeps popping in front and crashing.
Resetting the phone is not an option as I have multiple MFAs configured and not easy to restore.
Anybody with the same problem or any solution for this issue?
I have already cleared the storage for the app, rebooted the phone multiple times and even tried on safe mode.

Has anyone else gone this route? Does it work? Is it better than the Google Phone app temporary work around?

yes. Same problem
I just left my provider store and they said Samsung has to fix this. They loaded a temporary app for me.

I have the same issue going on after the 11/21 update to UI 6.0 on my S22 Ultra. I went down to my local AT&T store yesterday and they were fairly clueless. It sounds like AT&T and Samsung are pointing fingers at each other over this issue. In the mean time, I can use FB Messenger and MS Teams for calls. Regardless, a patch or update needs to come out pretty quickly.

The only thing that worked for me was to install and use the Phone by Google app. Hopefully, Samsung is working on an update.

We did too. But that's unacceptable. I wish you could revert to previous release, but I couldn't find any info on how to.

Having same issue with the rest. I have S22 Samsung Galaxy and my phone app keeps going into a loop when I try to use it. It is also difficult to get the phone out of the loop when this happens

I tried what you wrote and it didn't solve any of the phone problems. I also lost all my icons and some of my settings such as screen resolution and number of icons on a line. I would not recommend trying your changes.
