OneUI 7 on Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906N) doesn't seem quite right...

I'm absolutely loving the OneUI 7 Update now that it's here, but I've noticed that some things just aren't working. Like widgets don't behave as they should do and blur isn't present where it normally should be. Don't know why but this is frustrating. My OneUI Home version is 16.0.05.50 if it matters.

Some things such as app open/close animations and "hold to edit lockscreen" are incredibly slow. I understand the limitations of older devices but this doesn't seem like a hardware issue and more like an optimisation error.

I've also noticed that battery drain is also much more present. Does this get fixed later or is my phone stuck like this now? For example, writing this post took me from 83 to 79 percent. Which is actually terrifyingly fast. I never had just fast draining in OneUI 6.1.1.

Other than these two things I've really enjoyed this uodate so far, can't wait for OneUI 8 (Though it will be the last uodate for this phone 😭)

Hi.

Big OS updates can mess up some stuff.

Try the following.

1. Makes sure your Google system is upto date as well

Settings > security and privacy.

2.Keep checking for app updates on both Google and Samsung store

3. Consider doing a 'PHONE WIPE CACHE' Check YouTube on how to do it.

Battery life should ideally improve if you have done the above.

Happy days 😊

After a major update it can take 10 to 14 days for the battery to recalibrate so you should see this settle down after then

Also the chipset on anny s22 series including the ultra is so bad. It heats up no matter what you do.

Yes the other day My phone heated up so badly that it shut off and I could not get back into my phone I have to work hard to get back into it I still don't know what I was doing I held the side button and the volume down button after what seemed like a half hour I finally got back into it I Don't like the UI 7 update I changed a lot of things and now Samsung store has 52 updates which I'm afraid to download because the things I changed might come right back

I was persistent about using the side button and the volume down button to try to get back in after a half hour or more I got back in I still don't know what caused it All I know is my phone was super hot!

it's pretty pathetic when your phone heats up shuts down and you have to use an extra phone to look up what to do 🙄

Snapdragon were out of their minds when creatibg this processor.. even the 865 was miles better than the 8 gen 1 for heating. Its a night and day difference

N20 Ultra is far better than S22 Ultra for Gaming in my opinion.
S22 series are some of the worst purchases cuz u could get a base s24 for cheap and have 6 years of updates and way less heating and wayy better battery.

Samsung knew s22 series was bad..
