One ui 5.1?

I recently brought a used s22 plus and I've noticed the last security update was january 2023 and I'm on one ui 5. 

I'm in the UK but this is a non eu device .

Should this have been updated by now or do I need to do it manually? If so how? I've checked the software update and it says up to date , not had a samsung in about 5 years and I don't know if this is normal

What region is your s22?
You can plug upto to a pc and use smartswitch on both devices. See if you can download the latest software.

I do mine manually, as sometimes it doesn't do it on it's own - also, you may need to do it multiple times, as it'll sometimes go for example to Feb, then you'll do again and it'll say Feb, then again and it'll increase. Unsure why it doesn't do a cumulative update, but there you go.

Go to Settings, Security and privacy, then Updates. From there, you can do the Google Play system update. Mine won't go past 1 April 2023 update on my S23, so I assume that's the latest. Saying this, it CAN vary by device by a month or so. If the device has stopped getting updates altogether, then of course there will be an earlier date.

EDIT: MY S22 is on 1 April 2023 update too.

That's interesting to know. I got my Google play system update the other night do I'm now thinking my phone is fine?

Depends on your CSC mate if it's says BTU you should be on May's update

It's a service provider you can find it in Settings About Phone - software information then you will find service provider software versions that is what normally determine how you get updates
