One ui 5.1?

I recently brought a used s22 plus and I've noticed the last security update was january 2023 and I'm on one ui 5. 
I'm in the UK but this is a non eu device .
Should this have been updated by now or do I need to do it manually? If so how? I've checked the software update and it says up to date , not had a samsung in about 5 years and I don't know if this is normal

Yes that's the one and it's looks like it's on a different country csc hence why your not getting regular updates where abouts are you located

I'm in the uk, got the phone on ebay, its got snapdragon 8+gen 1
I think it might actually be Korean as the bixby chat text when someone calls is only in Korean
That's the only clue I've got as to where it came from

Right thats probably where your issue is you bought the phone under a different country if it was a EU phone there would be a work around to get it working to get updates but I think with this you have two options if the phone works continue using it if you can get UK service and that or you last option will be to get a new phone in the UK mate hope this helps

Cheers , yeah the phone works perfectly fine. Had it since Saturday and no issues as far as I can tell

That's grand as long it makes and receives calls and text and you can use data it should be fine you just won't receive updates as quickly as you would on a EU/UK Phone if you occur to any issues in the future feel free to drop a message

@del1882: If your Galaxy S22+ was intended for use outside the UK, then you may wish to try using Smart Switch on your home computer to check for any available updates. 

To begin with, please follow the link below, and click on 'How Do I Get Smart Switch On My PC or Mac' to download the relevant version

Once installed, open Smart Switch, connect your S22+ using the USB cable that came packaged with the device, and look for an update prompt on the landing page, next to your device details.

Thanks for that I really appreciate it. I'll be getting a laptop in a couple of week so I'll definitely give that a try. Thankyou

I am having similar issue on my S22Ultra. The device is still with the update that came out of the box. Android 12, one UI 4.1, security patch August 2022. I have tried updating manually several times, also tried using smart switch multiple times, the phone keeps saying the software is up to date.
