Notification issues

I recently upgraded to one ui 6.1 ever since during this update, notifications don't make noise anymore even when my phone is set to sound I've checked the settings in each app and they are set to make a noise but when I whenever I receive and notifications such as a message or bereal notification (happens to more apps) I don't hear an audible noise it's just a vibrate anybody else having the same issue?

I just had a software update that seems to have just fixed this. Even though i believe this is a security patch.

Can you boot to safe mode. Long press on the power button. Long press on power off icon. Tap safe mode icon. Phone will boot to safe mode in which all 3rd party apps and customisations will be disabled. Monitor for behaviour. If the issue is fixed, then it is likely a 3rd party app, or customisation is the problem.

i noticed notification sounds arent working when i download latest software patch on my s21 ultra , i reset all settings and everything and still nothing

I have exactly the same problem as OP described and found this post via google search. Have to say restart my phone solved my problem 🤣

Mine keeps turning them on I had them on vibrate seems everyday it resets never had issues b4

Spent all morning on this going into every setting I could find. Getting frustrated as no-one has an answer.

Went into Galaxy wearable as have Galaxy watch and guess what? There is a button in Notifications that if toggled on mutes all notifications on phone. I untoggled that and yea all my notification sounds are back!

Why hasn't Samsung realised there is this toggle that can mess up phone if tried and forgotton it was there???

i upgrade to the s25 ultra and transferred all my data over from my old phone to my new one i can snapchat notifications on my lockscreen but cant get facebook notifications on my lockscreen i have got notification catergories on notifications are turned on and still cant get notificatons on my lockscreen am i doing something wrong
