Hi Community - is there anyone out there able to help. I have resolved most of my previous issues but I still do not get Gmail notifications. I only get them AFTER checking my emails which is totally pointless. How can I resolve this. It's so infuriating and driving me mad. Thanks a lot.

I'm having the same issue on my S22 Ultra. I sometimes get notifications after opening the app, I've recently starting getting a few notifications from a few emails. But overall, not working. I've gone thru all the settings and still nothing. I've also been having an issues with eBay...can't think of any others at the moment. I'm at my wits end here with frustration!!!

Hi uncleb46 - totally sympathise...it's no consolation that you are having the same issues. Ditto, a few notifications from emails on a totally random pattern ie good days bad days. Now am clicking on the Gmail icon twice a day in case I missed something...not what I need from an expensive new phone and no one seems to know why this is not working...I keep on fiddling, if I find a solution I'll let you know.

I am having the same issues with my s22+, all notification settings are set to on inside gmail app and for google in general. I have tried to find some battery settings since I user power saver mode to allow gmail to run no matter what but can't find it.

Wait I think I found the solution:

Go to settings and search for "sleep"

Select sleeping apps.

Then tap on Never sleeping apps

Add the application you want to have notifications for (gmail in this instance) .

Doesn't work for me

Gmail simply doesn't appeal on the never sleep list of apps

It was working until the update
