Network/Signal/Data issues on my S22+

Can someone please help. I have recently been having issues with my signal, call reception and data where I live. The phone I have is a Samsung S22+ on 02 in the UK. The phone I have is a US made phone and the carrier of it is AT&T which is based in the US. I have been looking at the band frequencies between the two and they all differ for LTE/4G/5G etc which is making me wonder. I have raised issues with 02 and they say there is a problem in my area with my nearest phone mast. This phone mast issue has been going on now for roughly 2/3 months and they say engineers are working to fix it asap. I am wondering if I am looking too far into it? Or maybe them saying the phone mast near me not working might be just an excuse to cover themselves and the issue is actually my US based phone? I am really hoping the issue is 02, otherwise I am going to have to maybe get my phone software flashed with a UK one.

Thanks,

Shirley

Us phone can only be flashed with other us firmware and no other. If it is recent issue then it could well be O2 problem. Hopefully short lived one

oh, I was under the impression you can flash firmware with any other, not just with others from the same country. So based on a previous issue I discussed on here.. I can't flash my firmware to a uk firmware to start receiving operating software updates?

oh right.. that might be why samsung haven't responded to me via the feedback option on this app because it's not possible to do.. Would be nice to be told by them though and not have to learn from someone like yourself. Thanks for letting me know that.

Personal experience with 02- absolutely junk in some areas- claiming they have mast issues and was stuck for 2 years with absolutely zero support. Paid off my contract immediately and changed.

As I stand I highly doubt its your phone and more so the provider.... go to a local store such as Asda and buy a sim on another network and see if the issue continues.

Though having a phone not based in right region holds a bunch of other issues

I have been with 02 for years and I've very rarely had any major issues with them to be honest until this one. My mum came to my house the other day and she is on tesco mobile which 02 powers and her signal and data was dodgy aswell. So maybe you are right in that sense. I also think they have a cheek charging me to come out of a contract when the reason I would leave is down to them. Awful.

yes, to do with band frequencies and all that stuff, I've already read about that.. I hope it isn't because I've learned tonight aswell that I can't flash my AT&T firmware with a firmware designed for the UK because the countries need to match.

People have different experiences with different suppliers don't they. My mum is happy on tesco as far as I know. Yes I hope it is just my nearest mast and nothing else, otherwise I'm in trouble in more than one sense. Thanks for commenting.
