My display work t time out

Hi all for some reason I have my phone screen display to time out after 20 seconds but it will not time out and won't go dim then blank. So I have to press the side switch to do this, also I've tried different options from 15 seconds upwards to time out but it jumps back to 20 seconds automatically. Any help on this please, s22 ultra

Do you have facial recognition (the setting where you screen stays on whilst you are looking at it) turned on?

Hi yes but I think I've sorted it now. I think it was an app call knin screen that overruled the settings, so hopefully it's working as it should, but thanks for you reply
