Can someone tell Samsung to quit making my phone look like a crapple. I want my software to update, but quit messing with how my phone looks. All my icons and display items have changed and I cannot get them back. Little things like the notification bar no longer gives me the percent sign and a battery number. It is in a filled bubble with a number that is hard to read.

PUT IT BACK AND QUIT MESSING WITH MY PHONE!

Unfortunately there's no going back, once you updated it's done... kinda sucks I hate this new UI 7 I had to tweak some of the settings as it was just like Apples IOS... I am not really into IOS but if samsung keeps this up I might as well transfer to iPhone then!

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Samsung doesn't see these forums. Reality is- change happens on all devices, IOS, samsung- and all other Android devices- by the looks of it with android 18 a lot more is to come, so- you have 3 options- learn to adapt, stop using modern tech, or- get a phone from like 5 years ago no longer getting updates....which, I suppose is also option 2.

To submit feedback to samsung go to samsung members app- support- feedback.

May not be happy with the answer, but that's reality.

There's plenty of advice posted on the forums relating to tips and troubleshooting—have a gander. If you included specifics on your issues, that would invite better responses/tips.

*the battery icon cant be changed

The only way people will start using their power and it's called buying power... if people are starting to dislike something they will stop buying into that product... if Samsung keeps this up I'll give up and just go with iPhone...

You're absolutely correct!

Most of the changes were done by Android 15—aka Google—aka all Android devices.

Other things. Such as the battery icon is where submitting feedback as I suggested earlier is important.

The issue with your logic is—iPhones have also changed their software quite a bit and have done so recently, and will continue doing so. I used to have an iPhone 13 like- just under 2 years ago; my girlfriend has an iPhone 15 now, and navigating it is completely different from what it was when I owned an iPhone, more drastic than youd think.

The point I was making is that we bought samsung or android because it is not crapple. I fully understand that updated happen with all technologies but change just for the sake of change is not beneficial. So update the software all you want, but let me keep my appearances the same.

And telling me to suck it up and deal is not helpful.
Had you directed me to a feed that can help me get my phone back to close to the way it was, you might have been a little better recieved.

Just a heads up- the panels can be combined again like it was before

If you swipe down from the right, click the little pen icon in the top right to enter edit mode. In the top left, you'll see panel settings; here you can change your quick panel from "separate" to "together."

Ive seen so many reports on the battery- but ive also seen the a lot of suggestion on the forums which seems to work for people
