I purchased pre paid S 22 Ultra trough Verizon
2 weeks ago went for international trip to St Marteen and cant get any connection using my phone .Spoke with Verizon several times and get no help. They told me i need to come back to United States to make set up Global Service. After i came to US called Verizon ,set up Global service and went for trip to Poland .
I cant belive happened again ,I am in Poland now for a week, no phone service (only wifi calling)
Verizon international team its just waist time because no one from the support technician know what to do
I opened Special Verizon support ticket ,no reponde ,my S 22 Ultra still not working
I never have this problem while using Galaxy Note 1p
Whats wrong with this Samsung??

I'm in Aruba now with my Galaxy S22 and had the same problem. I was on the Verizon chat for 2 hours and nothing. I figured out that I needed to switch from 5g to lte but Verizon doesn't enable that setting.
Go to the Google Play Store and download Samsung Band Selection.
Launch Band Selection and choose LTE All .
Click More Network Settings. Choose Verizon mobile network. Scroll down to Preferred Network Type and change from 5G to LTE.
You should now be connected to the roaming network.
Undo this when your back in the US.

Same here in Costa Rica. Super annoying. None of the fixes here work. Phone disconnects after 30 sec if it connects at all
S22 Ultra Verizon

Same problem here in Ireland 3 weeks ago. Verizon has no clue what is going on. They told me to go to Vodafone and get an esim. That didn't work. They told me to get a regular sim and that didn't work either. I might be done with Samsung and Verizon. The sim I got to use in my S22 Ultra worked perfectly in my son's iPhone.

UPDATE: I chatted with Verizon Tier 2 support while in Costa Rica and they refreshed my settings. After a restart, I am able to connect just fine.

nothing to do with the network. Went to Cancun Mexico and my family have iPhones. I have the new Samsung S22 plus and I was the only one who could not connect. only worked on wifi. Called Verizon and they tried many fixes and nothing worked. Samsung has a problem the phone does not connect to a network outside of the US. Verizon unable to help here or there, got to be a Samsung issue. Figure it out guys or Im dumping this brick. Been dedicated to Samsung for over 10 years now but this is a 1200 dollar disappointment. now refer to it as my Samsux phone!

This work around only got me connected to data in Aruba. It didn't allow me to make or receive cell calls. I swapped sim cards with my wife's iPhone 12 and cell service worked. My card also worked in her phone but not in my S22. My Sim card is 5G and had a black stripe on top and hers is 5G all white. I got a replacement Sim that is all white upon return to the US so I think it will work the next time I'm abroad.

its the sim card... someoneposted earlier that the black stripped 5g card that comes from samsung(verizon card) but installed by samsung wont work outside the u.s. he put the all white 5g card in and it works perfectly... several others read his post and did the same thing with the same result... i just went to verizon yesterday and had my black one switched out to the white one before i leave for italy on sunday

its not a bad batch, its the card that somes in the samsungs(5g) has a black strip at the top and doesnt work internationally(any of them)... the card your family brought you is all white(5g) right?

I replaced the black strip 5g card with the all white 5g card at a local verizon store and set up travel pass online at my verizon with my travel dates and destination country... hopefully between these 2 things done ahead of time I will have no issues while on vacation...

Thank you mate. Been having the same problem but only in Italy. And with this solution, everything seems to work just fine and dandy.
