I purchased pre paid S 22 Ultra trough Verizon

2 weeks ago went for international trip to St Marteen and cant get any connection using my phone .Spoke with Verizon several times and get no help. They told me i need to come back to United States to make set up Global Service. After i came to US called Verizon ,set up Global service and went for trip to Poland .

I cant belive happened again ,I am in Poland now for a week, no phone service (only wifi calling)

Verizon international team its just waist time because no one from the support technician know what to do

I opened Special Verizon support ticket ,no reponde ,my S 22 Ultra still not working

I never have this problem while using Galaxy Note 1p

I just landed in Brazil and have the same issue with my S22+.  Which I would have known before I left as I would have grabbed my Note 8 and used that instead!

I am a very unhappy customer,

I had the same problem. My S22+ wouldn't work in Sint Maarten or St Barth for more than 30 seconds. The Verizon representative was not able to fix the problem. Unfortunately, because it's a company phone, I can't try the trick of swapping out the SIM card.

I hope this gets fixed soon. I'm supposed to travel to Germany in May.

Chiming in - same problem, Verizon was no help.

Verizon tech (2nd tier) finally settled on telling me to get a local SIM card - but of course wouldn't unlock the phone so I could use it.  Ultimate answer was to go rent a local phone... absolutely useless.

Refused to even acknowledge other people had the same problem.

Problems with S22 Ultra, purchased Feb 2022 from Verizon - roaming in UK and Switzerland (neither worked).  Had the same experience, where a manual connection could last for a few seconds and disconnect.

So my new white SIM Card arrived, activated in Verizon.com.... and it worked!

Thank you noelh007. Samsung and Verizon owe you some money for sure.

  • Usa traveling to aruba issue. After dealing with his same issue. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT. I was on the phone with Verizon for hours. They tried everything. Nothing theybdis worked. I finally decided it was the sim card. I was in aruba and service didn't work at all besides wifi calling. My family member was traveling down 2 days later so I asking him to go to Verizon and get a replacement sim card.  I gave him all my phone information and he was able to get a new sim card programed for my phone back in the states. When he arrived I put the new sim card in and it worked immediately.  Such a pain in the a** but this did resolve the issue. They must of had a bad batch of sim cards ?

Same issue. American S22+ traveling in the UK. Phone won't auto-connect to any local network. I can manually connect to Vodafone and one other, but it drops the connection after thirty seconds. Sadly don't have a spare SIM card, and only here for the weekend. Will be sure to save my old S20+ 5G card for travel use.

I just had exactly the same problem in France.   I have the Galaxy S22 on Verizon.    I had the roaming set and I couldn't hold a connection to a French network.   I called Verizon support and they couldn't help.    I used to have this problem but would call support and they would enable something and then it worked across my old Samsungs and Blackberries
