Are you sure that the reverse part of the sim tray is not a sim card holder also.  Go to settings about phone. If it states 2 imei's and a esim then your device is dual sim.  Samsung have changed the way that they make the sim tray now so that the sims fit back to back in the sim tray

The Canadian, asian and china models are all dual sim.

I believe only US carriers protest and refuse dual sim cards. I also believe they are about the only places left on earth with locked phones. The korean model SM-R908N might be a specialised model for the military/government.

It sucks how the S22 Ultra doesn't allow external memory to be added. Instead, it just allows 2 nano sims.  For me this has made me return my s22 Ultra. As this is a deal breaker

One esim plus 1 sim or 2 physical sims. I can be on a call via one sim and still receive calls and or messages on another sim
