Google assistant question

I used to have a Google pixel 4a phone prior to the phone I have now, which is the Samsung Galaxy s220 ultra phone.

On the pixel phone when the screen was locked google assistant would work with anything and everything! (Including reading and responding to messages ECT)

This phone won't work on lock screen for anything! It always says something like, "sure, but first you will have to unlock your device"

Is there a way to get Google assistant to work like it did for the pixel phones on lock screen? If not is there another assistant to download that will?

Click on the Google search bar.
Click on your profile photo top right.
Under settings turn ON use assistant when screen is locked.

Also make sure Google assistant is your default assistant
Under phone settings search default apps and change there.

Both Google Assistant and Bixby require you to unlock your phone when asked yo perform certain actions - like opening apps for example.
