I also have this problem. I did everything Glenntech wrote including a factory reset and clearing the cache. My front facing camera still does not work. I took my phone to my provider they said call Samsung, I did. I told Samsung about the problem and told them that I am not the only one to have this problem. The tech INSISTED this is not a known problem despite the existence of this, the official Samsung forum and several other forums on the net. After several frustrating minutes with the tech denying the existance of a broad problem he 8nformed me my phone is a year out of warranty and there is nothing he can do.
I will NEVER buy a Samsung product again, not a phone, not a TV, not a washing machine. I paid well over a thousand dollars for a phone to not have a "known problem" therefore despite all the forums including this one that I "imagined" my phone's failing is not their problem. I should have never left pixel.
