I hope there is a solution... what I have always thought was flash flare from my phone case has turned out to be from the phone itself. Just bought a new case and tried the flash - bare- and it was still unusable. Out of warranty so I'm hoping someone may have encountered this problem , and fixed it!  With the flash on photos are white 1/3 of the way across, then milky for another 1/3. Useless.
