Screen glitch after updating to One UI 7.0

Hello there,

So after updating my S22 Ultra to the new One UI 7.0, some screen glitches started appearing on my phone.

I have also seen other people reporting the same issue here (and I have also replied there): https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS23/comments/1kj3y98/glitch_flashes_on_top_of_the_screen_afew_weeks/

 Here's a video I recorded with my dad's phone: https://streamable.com/997m1n

Basically, the screen will glitch with a bright white color (like a flash), in random areas of the screen. The most consistent one, is that top right corner, as shown in the video.

Sometimes it just flashes, and disappears, and some other times, it will stay there for a while, even while restarting the phone.

I have also seen the glitch appear in other places of the screen, but in those places, it just flashes, and doesn't stay there.

I haven't dropped the phone, and I'm pretty sure this is software related, considering the timing of other peoples reports as shown in that reddit post.

Anyone else facing this issue?

Looking forward for some feedback.

Thank you,

Luís

Yes, it's a known issue. Hopefully, the may update will fix this. Also, do you have animation speeds set at 0.5x in developer

Yes, I have animation speeds set to .5x speed in developer options.

Try turning it back to original speed and see if that helps

I just set everything back to 1x (original speed), and I will see if it helps. I will report back later.

Note: Anything in developer mode is for developers only. Messing with ANY settings in that menu can cause unknown issues. Developer mode is not for public use as a normal "feature"; those settings are not as thoroughly tested as the normal features within the device. Hope that fixes your issue- keep updated

Yes, while developer mode is primarily intended for developers to test and debug applications, it is accessible to all users on various platforms. This accessibility allows even non-developers to potentially enhance their device or app experience through specialized settings

That is the purpose, too, yes! But it's always a caution; even minor changes can cause unexpected results. Potentially- with the correct knowledge of what one is actually doing its a great tool

Sadly the glitch just happened again. Will have to wait for an update I guess.

Thanks for trying to help.
