Facebook opening new tabs

has anyone had this problem with facebook always opening a new tab every time so if i look on mutli yasks there is about 3 or4 facebbok tabs open and have to clear all tabs dont think it happened to my s21 ultra and think it only facebook so its says screen on time is all facebook

there is a big thing on reddit about it  but no one can find a fix

i have double checked there is only one facebook app on the phone

it also doesnt happen on my Tab s7+

i know delete facebook completly  job done lol

A little work (not a fix) around getting multiples is by not clicking the notification at the top rather click the shortcut for Facebook on your home screen or wherever you keep it. I have it on my homepage anyway so it's the same as clicking the notification and funnily enough it will take you to where the notification was gonna send you anyway without doing it in another tab. It seems to be working.

Strange! Surely there must be one setting somewhere. But, I'll persevere with the above work around for now. Hopefully we're getting close to the mystery being solved.

i remember when setting up the phone it asked specifically if I wanted new instances to open in new windows but I can't find that setting again. I don't think it was PiP.

No idea how people figure stuff like this out but you are a wizard, tried it and it instantly solved the problem. Absolute magic
