Does leaving charger plugged in S22U with battery protection damage battery?

Hi,

I have been testing charging my S22U with fast charging and superfast charging settings on as well as battery protwction, using an older "white" Samsung charger and 25W Samsung charger and the result has been the same. That is when charged to 80%, the charge level does not drop down. So questions:

1. Is there a difference between the older and more recent charger?

2. Does leaving the charger plugged in draw power from the charger, once 80% is reached or from the battery?

3. Is this method a good way of preserving battery life when at home?

It should be fine, the damage occurs when charged to 100% and you leave it charging for hours but over numerous months and years.

So I guess the question is does keeping the charger connected, does it function as pass through or does the battery keep discharging and then charging?
