Hey @RandomBonker. Make sure that you haven't hidden the app(s). From the Apps screen menu > Tap on the 3 dots (top-right) > Home screen settings > Hide apps. If the app is hidden, unhide it by tapping on the minus (-) sign.
If your phone is in Safe Mode, the words "Safe Mode" will appear in the bottom corner of your phone. When the phone is in Safe Mode, third party apps will be temporarily greyed out or won't appear in the Apps menu. Please restart your phone to come out of Safe Mode.

I have this problem also, and I've had to put them back, the problem is is that there once again disappearing. Except these are not games, so there is no game hub to remove them from.
Of Google search AI keeps telling me that I need to unhide them, except they are not hidden. And of course it is too stupid to read the next sentence that says " and I have not hidden them ".
Does anybody know how I can stop this from happening? I don't want to have to keep screenshots of my entire phone so that I can restore icons once they've disappeared. This is unacceptable.

I find it amusing, in a very not funny way, that selecting lock home screen, prevents me from changing the home screen, when what I want is the phone to be prevented from changing the home screen.
It's always enraging to discover that your phone thinks it knows better than you. You need to stop programming it like that, or I will stop buying Samsung products.

How does removing shortcuts without my knowledge or permission "enhance my gaming experience"?
That is what the Samsung Game Hub claims it does.
