keep powering on and off

since the update my phone keeps powering on and off to the samsung screen. It wont go past there.  Is there any way to retrieve all my apps/info from this phone and transfer to another phone with out using smart share

Attempt holding volume down and power button until phone restarts again. Manage to boot it?

If you backed up your data with the cloud- should be able to log back into your accounts on new device and get some things back. Without im unsure you can

I've done that but it keeps doing the same thing. I'm able to get my contacts and pictures but not the text messages or apps

The apps—You may need to do this manually if you cannot boot the old device.

The messages, hopefully, were backed up. If not, I am unsure if there is a way to get them back. Google Messages should be if you've logged into the right account, and the same with Samsung Messages.
