Screenshot with power / volume down stopped working since OneUI 7 update

Since I updated to ONEUI7 the screenshot feature that used to be activated by holding power and pressing volume down has not worked.

It just reduces volume and then triggers power menu / personal assistant depending on the side button setting.

Is there a way to get this feature back?

Seems to be working for me. To be clear, you press them both at the same time—not hold—just a fast click. If you hold, it opens the menu for turning off the device. Maybe try clicking with your left hand's middle and pointer finger; a good angle. Could also try turning on palm swipe to capture in settings (gestures).

Always used to be press the vol down button with the power button already down, but found docs saying you may need to hold for a second (never needed to do that before) so I've tried pressing the 2 buttons in diff order / holding them for longer, but nothing works.
I was using this feature couple of times a day on average, so it's frustrating to lose it.

It's still working for me, use it daily. Could you have another shortcut or app controlling the accessibility controls on them that's clashing perhaps?

It's working for me too, but I don't use it because I find it awkward. The easiest way to take a screenshot is in the Edge panel, and you don't risk the physical buttons getting loose over time.

Or just say "Hey Google, take a screenshot "- that's how I got THIS screenshot 😁

Or just swipe the screen from the bottom left and up?

It happened during beta testing that it changed your previous setting. I reported it but I guess they never fixed it before release.
You need to go to side button settings in advanced features in settings.
And change it to power of menu.
Then all should be well.
Also you can take a screen shot by swiping the side of your extended hand across the screen from left to right.
Hope this helps.
If you need further help just respond.

I did try changing the side button setting back to power menu, but it didn't make any difference to the screenshot functionality ☹️

Every time I try swiping from left with the side of my hand, it triggers the back navigation function or some other function on the screen, before taking the screenshot.
Not sure if there's some technique to avoid that.

If you have a case on your phone just try it without the case.
You can also try to clear the system cache.
This is done by putting a data cable between your phone and PC/mac/tablet.
Then power down your phone.
Next switch on phone whilst holding down power button and volume down.
The phone will start in a text mode.
Then scroll down to clear system cache using volume up and down and select using power button.
Then if it asks if your sure select yes and phone will restart.
