Go to phone app > contacts > 3 vertical dots > manage contacts > import contacts > select from where (if it was backed up)
Or sync contacts and select all Google accounts.
In terms of not showing information on created contacts could you provide screenshots of it? Usually you go to contacts > press + sign (to add) > select where contact will be saved and enter all the details.

open the Smart Switch app on both devices, choose "Send data" on the old phone and "Receive data" on the new one, select "Contacts" and other desired data, and then initiate the transfer

@Ruby11: Further to the above, I also recommend opening the Contacts app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Check the drop down bar towards the top of the side menu, and make sure that 'All contacts' is selected.
