Contacts duplicating and deletes automatically

My contacts keep duplicating and deleting  automatically on my S22U, it is extremely frustrating! Doesn't matter how I restore and merge, it continues to happen! I've already logged an error report, not sure what Samsung is doing about it, but I realised that they have now deleted my Samsung account and other Google accounts from my contacts! That clearly did not solve the problem.

@Tterram Hello, check the applications that have permission granted to Contacts. For a while, you could experiment with removing this permission from other apps and third-party apps and see if it is resolved. Greetings.

Do you have multiple contacts apps? Like Google and Samsung contact apps? If yes there is some conflict

Thank you for your reply, but I think going through all my apps to see which has access to contacts and experimenting with them is too time consuming and tedious.

Thank yo for your reply. I do have my Samsung account and other Google signed into, like I always do on my previous devices. And from what I've seen, since logging an error report, Samsung has deleted all the other accounts and as I type this message, over 500 contacts have been duplicated and gone to the bin. So that clearly isn't the issue.

If you haven't done already look to see what us syncing in relation to your contacts as this maybe the culprit.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Since I had multiple accounts, I did turn all the sync off. But unfortunately, it didn't help.

Oki doki.

As a process of elimination can you remove/ force stop one of the other contacts apps / accounts and then see what happens.

I use the Samsung Contacts app only to which I've had zero issues @Tterram

I feel your pain as have this problem on the S21 too! It's infuriating and has been going on for months now! I reported a ticket already but I'm not sure Samsung are bothered.

I am another victim of Samsung poor software. My S21 suffers from the same issue.
