Hi,
I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....
This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.
Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

If the Samsung mic not working on S21, S22, S22+, Ultra (or in any of the other Samsung phone series), try these things:
1. Restart your Samsung phone.
2. Force stop the app on which the microphone is not working
3. Clear cache and data
4. Allow apps to access the microphone
5. Disconnect any external microphone.

I don't think its mic related because there is no sound too...
On my s22u clearing the cache of the phone app and resetting the network settings didn't help.
Its just such a basic feature of a phone samsung should fix that as soon as possible. (i hope its fixable and not exynos related)

Everything points to software issues... BUT, since problems are still present months and months after releasing this device, now I think it is a hardware defect (obviously not all devices are affected, many users are without issues).
Maybe Samsung is trying to fix this hardware issues with software updates by disabling certain behaviors/optimizations. No source for this claim, just my assumption.
Or maybe Samsung software department is totally incompetent, can't fix basic feature, as you say, after all this time. These guys are supposed to provide 4 years of software updates...

Same issue here. I can't hear anything both during normal and with WhatsApp. They can hear me though. Restarting or 5G didn't help.

I have the same problem on my new S22. After a reboot it works for some time.

My S22 Ultra is 6 weeks old, and I had this several times now. Can't hear the caller, caller can't hear me. A reboot temporarily fixes it for a couple of days. I'll start a log today to see how often it happens.

1 Check Audio Levels. If your device has its own built-in speakers, try its audio without using a headset first.
2 Restart your Device.
3 Turn off Bluetooth.
4 Disable Do Not Disturb Mode.
5 Test Sound Using a Different App.
6 Test Sound Using an External Audio Device.
Regards,
Will

Hi,
I have the same issue with my phone S22 (Exynos chipset)
Only rebooting seems to fix this issue.
I am using Samsung since many years but I am really disappointed with this bug ... any suggestion/update from Samsung will be welcome!
Thanks in advance
