Hi,
I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....
This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.
Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

I just received today a huge update of about 1.5GB. Let's see if the have solved the issue. Anyone have tried it yet?

Got the same update but I don't call that much in order test it. Anyway afaik, it's only camera related

New update doesn't solve the problem with no sound on calls. My S22U is up to date and I'm still having this issue.

Another interesting thing to note:
Calling from VoIP (MS Teams) to phone connected to WiFI (wifi calling) seems to be working fine.

Same Issue with S22+. Phone with all the gimmicks but you can not do a proper phone call.
Samsung any solution? Also reset all settings to default doesn't help.

I have the same problem:
- S22+ EU/Exynos
- Dual Sim (both physical, different carriers)
- Calls using WhatsApp and WiFi-Calling are working properly
- Calls using the phone app with no wifi enabled cause the phoning partners to not hear each other (I can even verify this using my landline)
- Reboots help temporarily, but just for a day or two.
I have never had such a problem with a phone ever before. I would have not expected this from such an expensive phone. Makes me question to ever buying Samsung products ever again, if they sell phones you can not use as a phone.

I have same problem. Unbelievable...

I am warning all my friends about the problem and telling them not to buy Samsung devices. It's ridiculous that phones that are 10 times cheaper have no problem and this "top of the range" is full of problems: thank you Samsung for selling expensive "phones that are unable to phone"

I've installed all the latest updates and still the same issue.
S22+ UK with 2 physical sims (o2 & EE)
I've taken to doing a restart everyday which improves things but this still doesn't stop the issue. Just today I took an important call only to find I couldn't hear or speak to them. I had to do a restart and then ok, but for how long....
I'm also a hearing aid wearer and when I first got the S22+ it connected to them fine and I could stream music and answer calls without issue. Now they drop connection or alternate from left to right. Strange that it's got worse. Again a restart sorts it for a while.
I went to Samsung because it has some additional features that benefit hearing aid wearers. None of them out-weigh the network or connection issues
Also the network connection strength is very poor. Pop the same SIM card into my old phone, in the same location, gives a strong network with no issues. The S22+ is very poor. Do a network reset or restart and it improves slightly but nowhere near my old pixel phone.
I'm now looking at trading this useless phone in for half the cost while it still has some value and getting anything other than Samsung.
My initial intension was to buy another for my wife but not a chance now, and I'm very annoyed that I've wasted so much cash on a phone that does'nt work as a phone.
Samsung, You only get one chance to make a good first impression, and you only really find out if a company is any good when something goes wrong and how it gets sorted. Looking at the number of similar complaints across several forums and all S22 models, it looks to be a big problem and not isolated.

Samsung..... please fix it or do the decent thing and recall them.

Question: which app are you using to call? I'm using the google app, not samsung built-in app.
