Hi,
I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....
This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.
Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

I think I may have found what causes this bug but I need everyone's help here. I have a SIM and an eSIM in my S22 Ultra so I tried to deactivate the eSIM to see if this can be the origin of the bug. It turns out it can be since I had no issues for the entire week I kept my eSIM deactivated. Can anyone else tell me if there is an eSIM active in his/her device, too?

Same issue here, with one physical SIM and one ESIM, on different networks.
With one SIM (or one ESIM) the phone works as it should, but with dual SIM, its a piece of sh.t.
Every time I get out of my car (I use android auto with cable) I have to reboot the phone to make calls. So annoying.
Beside that, on weekends, when I dont use the car often, the bug not appears, so I think its somewhat with Bluetooth or android auto.
I use this phone as work/personal phone, came from an old HW P30pro, and so disappointed. Never buying Samsung branded things again, not even a microwave, thats for sure.

I have an S22+ and my wife a regular S22. I think I only experienced this once. She, on the other hand, keep having this issue.
We both use the same apps, have the same SIM cards from the same operators, etc. and nothing seems to make her phone work properly. It works for a while after a reboot but it will start doing it again. I think I tried everything under the sun and nothing works.

The UK Samsung support team advised me (on the chat) to send back the device as they could not confirm the problem could be solved within my 30 days refund period.

I've recently purchased a regular S22 just 6 weeks ago and am also experiencing this problem. I'm quite shocked that a brand new phone can't perform it's basic function, and that, apparently, Samsung has known about this issue for quite some time already? Never had this problem with my S4 or my S7 (sure, there was a while where I worried my S7 might explode because that was a thing when they first came out). Rebooting my phone is only a temporary fix. Very disappointed, probably will send mine back as well.

I think I've found a solution for this issue !
Clear the cache of the "Phone" app:
Long press on Phone app icon > Click on small i icon > Storage > Clear cache
I've did this since 2 days and it is working find till now!
Will keep observing..

I have the same issue for long time but now it's more often that I have to restart phone.
Tomorrow I experienced this situation:
I was in my my car and make phone call than in the shop I wasn't hear anything during phone calls (2). When I came back in my car I had phone call and everything works!
I must add that my Samsung S22 Ultra has common issue with Android Auto (https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/151806427?hl=en#) so my phone is right now connected via Bluetooth.

Great... Just came looking for this issue as I get exactly the same on my s22 ultra. Annoyed to see that loads of people having the same issues and Samsung doing nothing about it.
I will say that it's not android auto by itself as I never connect it to the car. I do have it connected to my Samsung watch though.
I have no idea how to fix apart from restarting, but now that I know it's not just me, I'll see if I can do some testing.

I have the same problem with S22 Ultra, I have the phone for 2 weeks and it's driving me nuts.
I think, Samsunug has no idea what is the problem. To track down the problem logs has to be created and analyzed, which on end user phones is impossible.
Regarding the bugs and the features, especially the very poor image processing quality (heavily overprocessed), the price of this phone is bloated.
