Call sound issues - others can't hear me during calls and I can't hear them either

Hi,

I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....

This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.

Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

I'm on the same boat guys...
S22+ Exynos version here.

I thought it was related to camera software or similar, but it's a random thing as I experienced.
To ""solve"" I have to reboot the phone at least one time a day.

Hope they fix soon as possible.

I have the same issue on the regular S22 (also Exynos version), only a reboot works to fix it, almost every day, it's beyond annoying. Starting to feel like a downgrade coming from a S10 😞

Same problem on my S21, I've tried almost everything without solving it. Bad to hear that the problem is also in the new S22, a china-phone is better than this "phone" that can't make calls, never again Samsung

I'm monitoring other topics here in the forum, some of the users seem to solve the issue replacing the main board. If the problem is the hardware, it's even more serious in my opinion. And the fact that Samsung does not take an official position, shows that it is not a reliable company.

Had the same issue

Put it in non-5g mode (Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks -> LTE/3g/...) and rebooted the phone and now it works. Let's hope it stays this way...

Expensive phone, important bugs that make basic functionality not work.. please fix.

Other issue i had:
- after flight my speakers started making a broken noise. putting in sim card tray resolves this...

 

EDIT: It happened again, reverted back to 5g, rebooted again but now it works. feels like rebooting sometimes fixes it

Hi, reboot always works. I've disabled the VoLTE calls using an app called Samsung Band Selection, currently 3 days with no issue. But disabling a good feature like VoLTE is not a solution.

Been a Samsung user for the last 10 years now. I swear it's the last phone I ever buy from them. It's unacceptable to pay 1450eur for a piece of s*** that could not do the basic stuff that a phone is supposedtodo. I feel like smashing it when this happens. Never again. I'm sure they won't even bother with a fix
