No my Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra holds calls well with no dropouts.
Does this happen everywhere or in a particular place you make / recieve a call ?
If in one place the ussue could be your network cell masts.
Can you reset the network connection via Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Also as a process of elimination try your sim card in another phone and then see what happens.
Thus can help to rule out a sim card issue.
If possible try another sim card in your phone.
