Hi folks,
last week my screen was broken in an accident. Since then, the screen of my samsung S22+ stays black.
There is a whole corner who is cracked (top right) but 95% of the screen is still fine, and responding to touching.
it's also responding to "ok google..." commands.
I even managed to unlock it once, via fingerprints, so i could access dex, but now it rebooted cause no more battery, so i need to type the pin code, that i have, obviously, before i can use Dex again, and fingerprints.
I bought a new S22+ and now i 'm trying to use it as a mirror, so i know where to click, but it seems it's not working...
so i did a soft reset (volume down + on for few seconds), and i think i'm stuck now after the reboot.
If i push on, to enable display, slide up to "show" the numbers, and try to put the pin code, it doesnt work. (the exact same manipulation on my new S22+ works)
if i plug a keyboard through USB-C port, or a screen, i get a double vibration, but nothing displays on screen
is there any way that i can put my pin code ?
thanks in advance

Hello 👋 @Franck-67 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.
I'm sorry to hear of the damage to your phone.
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/i-smashed-my-screen-and-cannot-use-the-touchscreen... might help.
Or possibly another route js to have the phone repaired by a Samsung Service Centre ,or a Highstreet Store that deals in repairs although this would invariably invalidate your warranty if applicable.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

the link is not helping, cause as i said, the phone has been rebooted, so the keyboard and the screen wont work as long as i dont unlock the screen...
About a repair... i already bought a brand new phone, so there is no way i'm gonna pay for a repair, that would be double sentence...

Turned off phone, connected it all up and then turned the phone on.
It fired up and DEX came up on the screen. Entered 4 digit pin and I was in.

Thanks for your answer. Sadly after a reboot, it seems that screen or keyboard doesnt work before i do something (maybe first pin code ?)
Each time i plug a keyboard, or a screen, i get a double vibration.
I can tell that my phone is started, because if i have my bluetooth headset, i can hear the "galaxy SS2 disconnected" and "galaxy SS2 connected" when i reboot it...

I got all the data off the thing by downloading it onto a drive plugged into the hub.
Yes, also backed up on the cloud, but not recently.
Cost about £220 to repair and eldest daughter (killer of phones) now has it.

keyboard is also a USB device, so it wont work, until i unlock it without screen or keyboard 😞
It seems its a security update since a recent version from what i read here and there..
