Hello to the community . I have the same issue as others with my devise.
My s22 ultra went out of warranty and insurance on July without me noticing it. I'm still paying monthly for that device through samsung finance. 10 days before this, the phone done some update and went to a boot loop. I've tried everything to restore it without any luck.
I've sent my device to a Samsung repair center.
I informed them what happened with the phone and after a while I received a message from them saying that I needed to pay 276£ for the repair of my phone. I've payed the money cause I didn't had any other choice.

When I raised a complaint about it the answer that received was that my phone was out of warranty and they had to charge me. When I told them that it was their update that caused the problem and they answered that they weren't able to detect if an update caused the problem so they told me to have a nice day and take care.

I'm absolutely disappointed. I've bought 4 samsung phones and watches for me and my family paying a lot of money and their solution for this was to charge me for a problem that they caused with the update. I don't know what to say. They are unbelievable.

Hi @Anonymous User and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I'm sorry to learn that you experienced an issue with your phone.

I appreciate that this issue seemed to happen after the update,  which may or may not have been the issue.

Samsung apply a limited 2 year manufacturer's warranty and then offer Samsung Care+.

However the cost charged does appear a little excessive to me 🤔

I would have looked to alternative insurance such as Home Contents Insurance and or some bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.

I wish you all the best.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thank you very much for your advice. I'm a samsung's customer for many years and I was considering the samsung's phones the best in the market but not anymore. After all these years that I'm a samsung's customer I think better to get rid of all the samsung hardware that I've bought and move on to another brand. I got really disappointed from samsung.

I've the same Issue, after 1 week or 10 days of the update the phone suddenly stuck on bootloop, ironically, Samsung replies not relating this to the update and keep pushing us into the warranty issues.

It's a disaster to launch an update kills the users devices and cause a loss for their data and time.

I was loyal customer for Samsung products for more than 20 years, not anymore i think.

Samsung send my phone to a third partner to restore the software and they charged me 276 to do it. The phone is running well. They restore it to November 2023 software. I feel so stupid about this.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm having issues as well and I'm definitely going back to Pixel, the camera and customer service are incredible compared to this. Good luck.
